Kitchen Interior Design Approach
A kitchen is a space to enjoy learning, creating, and enjoying food! We can bring these attributes across in your kitchen through our design. Your kitchen should be a place where your family wants to gather to have family pizza night or ice cream sundaes.
Our approach when designing your kitchen is to understand your goal for the space. Whether you want a facelift or an entire redo we are able to design it! Changing color, lighting, backsplash, and fixtures can make a kitchen look like an entirely new space.
But, you can also start from scratch with your dream design that OTW Interiors can bring to life. This could include an island with a hibachi grill or a fridge that looks like a cabinet. The options and potential are endless.
In order for us to make this kitchen perfect for you, your family, or your guests, we will need to choose the perfect materials, fixtures, and colors. We will base these three aspects on what you love as well as each other, to create the perfect timeless design! If you are in a home on the water the outskirts cabinets may be white but the island is navy. Or, if you live on a farm in Iowa, the outskirts cabinets may be a brown town with a beautiful green chef's island.
Once we create your color palette, and understand what features you want for your kitchen, we get to work creating design board options and presenting these to you.
Then, we work together to make the ideal design and put it into place using the perfect team members and products. This process can take a bit of time depending on the design choices you go with, but it will be everything you hope and dream of once complete.
On the final install day when we hang the pendants above your island, and put out your candle and fresh flowers out, we ask you to leave. When you get home, and get to walk through your new kitchen, you will automatically feel the urge to cook thanksgiving dinner. Your new kitchen will be breathtaking and where you want to spend all of your time in your home.

Kitchen Interior Design Ideas
Your kitchen is a place where everyone should be able to gather around. We will create a space where your entire family can eat, drink, and enjoy time together. We will make your kitchen beautiful as well as functional!
Our approach when designing your kitchen is to understand how your family wants to use the space. If you love to cook we want to design a massive tabletop stove as well as include a huge oven. If you love to entertain, we will design a massive island in your space for everyone to sit around. If you love to cook and entertain we will bring both to your space and find the happy medium.
But, we can do more than create a new design! If you love your layout but want to give your space a facelift we would love to help you with that! By sanding and painting your cabinets, as well as changing the hardware your kitchen will already feel like a whole new space. We can go even further, by choosing new countertops and a backsplash.
To finish your space off, we will choose a beautiful table runner as well as a centerpiece. When you walk into your kitchen on reveal day, you will be blown away that this is the same space!

Kitchen Interior Design Process
- We have an initial phone call to briefly meet you and understand your goals for your space.
- We then meet for your in-person consultation to take measurements and see the space in person.
- It is then back to the office to create design boards.
- Within a week we present design boards to you.
- After reviewing and getting your feedback, we make any necessary adjustments to your final design board.
- We then begin ordering products and materials and start working with manufacturers who may be involved to create custom pieces.
- When products and materials start to arrive, we accept all deliveries at our warehouse, do quality control, take inventory, and get them prepared for staging.
- On the final day, we ask you to leave your house to complete the installation.
When everything is set, we invite you back, to present your new custom Kitchen!
